You will still be required to enter your PD measurement as this is unlikely to be on your prescription.

My PD isn't on my prescription, what do I do

If you have a webcam connected to your computer/laptop then you can
meaure your PD using our online application. Please follow the instructions
carefully.

Your PD is your pupillary distance, or the distance between the pupils of
your eyes.The information is used to set your lenses in the frame so that they
are properly positioned in relation to your eyes when you are wearing
your glasses.

Once you are an adult, your PD does not change, so if you have had it measured
before or have a record of it from a previous time you bought glasses, it will
still be the same. You don't need to have your PD measured every time you
buy new glasses.

Most opticians will have measured and are likely to have recorded your PD
on your records during your eyetest and will write it on your prescription if
you ask them, but there is no legal requirement for them to do so. If an optician
has made glasses for you previously they will definitely have a record of your
PD, and you are entitled under Data Protection Law to request and obtain
this information. We recommend wherever possible that you have your PD
measured professionally.

Alternatively you can choose to enter an average distance PD, which is 64
for men or 60 for women, and that should work out OK, though if you have
a high prescription it is better that you have your PD measured professionally.

At OneSpecs the manufacture and supply of your glasses will be supervised by a registered optician in accordance with the Optician's Registration (Jersey) Law. You must have a prescription to purchase prescription glasses from us. If you wish to purchase glasses for someone under 16 you will need to visit an optician with the child.
